I've lived in the Ormeau/Ravenhill area on and off since the 1990s, but Donal's informative tour showed me interesting stuff I've walked past hundreds of times. Every few steps, there seemed to be something else of note. As always, the headsets worked a charm, and we covered a lot of ground in a short space of time. Every road in the city should have a Belfast Mic Tour!

This tour is indeed legendary. Donal really knows his stuff and he covers a lot of ground, with unique access to some top locations. I really enjoyed seeing inside the Pump-House and having a nosy around the Titanic Hotel. As a wee bonus, he even arranged for two seals to appear in the marina. The use of headsets means you can still hear what he's saying even when you're lagging behind, taking endless photos!

You walk or drive along a street for years and are oblivious to the details of buildings and park areas; their history and how the social structure has been formed. This is a safe experience. Excellent sound tech means you can here every word of the first class tour guide (Donal?) even if you fall 20 meters behind, while picking up your Shi Tzus' namesake (if you catch my whiff). Well worth the time and money.

Although I've lived on the road all my life, I found the tour engaging & informative. Highly recommended, whether you live in the area or not!

I’ve only lived in Belfast a year and found this a perfect tour to feel a bit more connected to the area. A good mix of the history of pubs, shops, churches, sports etc. Well planned to appeal to newcomers and long term residents alike. Definitely prefer the radio system - you get non stop commentary without having to wait for everyone to stop and be in earshot. And even if it rains you can zip up your hood and still follow everything!
