After a brief introduction to the history of the partition we stopped at several key locations that gave a backdrop to some of the events around the ‘Troubles’ and gave us a better understanding why emotions ran, and continue to run high. Jimmy was my tour guide and was a top notch tour guide. He lived through the troubles was great at explaining the background to the troubles, how it started, what happened on the falls road, Divis Flats area right up to where things are at today. The troubles can be complicated for the average irish person to explain but jimmy did an awesome job of explaining it with clarity. I would recommend this tour to anyone and hope to come back to belfast again to bring my family on this tour. The Murals are stunning and will give you goose bumps. If you dont unddrstand what the murals are about just ask, jimmy is super friendly and a fountain of knowledge.
