This was a most informative tour by Declan lasting approximately two and half hours. It began with the infamous killing of Patrica Curran in the fifties and included talks on many of the interesting and famous characters that had connections over two centuries with the Whiteabbey area. The walk was very enjoyable as much of it was along the costal path from Whiteabbey to whitehouse. Declan used a wireless guide system to assist him in his delivery and help maintain social distancing. His delivery was clear,precise and professional. Altogether a very pleasant spring morning

Took part in Declan’s tour of Whiteabbey and found it extremely interesting and insightful. Although I have passed through Whiteabbey many times I never realised it was so historic. Declan has obviously done a great deal of research and is very knowledgeable about the features, buildings and history of the area as well the interesting characters who have lived here. However he relates all of this in a very amusing way making the tour very enjoyable and entertaining. The walk is mostly on level ground with good views over Belfast Lough and at just over 2 hours was of the right length to be worthwhile but not over tiring. Would thoroughly recommend it.

Great tour, obviously well researched. I thought the distance and time taken was just right. A lot of very interesting information most of which was new to me even though I know the area. Overall an excellent tour which I would be happy to recommend .

We just completed the Ormeau/ Ballynafeigh tour, and it was great. Donal and Rory were very friendly and knowledgeable, and excellent guides.

Really enjoyed our evening walk up the Ormeau Road - Donal & Rory were excellent tour guides with vast local knowledge. Highly recommend!
